The Libraries’ Digital Scholarship Center (DSC) Advisory Council helps to lead and support the University’s digital scholarship programs and initiatives by:
The Council is expected to meet at least three times each academic year (once every Fall, Winter, and Spring term), with a typical meeting held for two hours. Some members of the Council may also be asked to participate in an annual User Experience (UX) meeting carried out by the Libraries’ Evaluation/Assessment/UX (EAUX ) Team, in the Libraries’ efforts to improve its DSC service design. Work may be performed via virtual means occasionally, given the predicted challenges with scheduling additional face-to-face meetings.
Recommendations and Reports
The Libraries will rely on in-person and virtual Council discussions and the results of UX projects to obtain ideas, input, and feedback from Council members. The Council will submit formal recommendations in writing to the Dean of Libraries, who will then share the recommendations with the Libraries’ Administrative Team and Library Council for consideration.
Minutes of each Council meeting are recorded by the Council’s Secretary and maintained by the Libraries, with copies shared as public records.
